Seattle and Stockholm Swap Pitchers
The Seattle Pilots have shipped under-performing SP Ayurou Hidetada to Stockholm in exchange for MR Juan Moncayo and a fourth round pick. Seattle GM, Mike Bateman, had this to say about the trade. “We had high hopes for Ayurou when we brought him in last year as our big free agent signing, but he came in and started stinking up the place. His pitching was fine, I mean he literally was stinking up the place. I don’t care if it is your lucky underwear, that stuff needs to be cleaned and changed every once in a while. It was causing a real problem in our clubhouse”. The Pilots are expected to release Moncayo and absorb his contract.

Ayurou is still in the league…I gve him a big deal, and he stunk it up back in 2003…good thing he can still earn a buck
I figured he was worth a gamble, at only about $2m this year (since I dumped Moncayo). If he performs at #4/5 level, I’ll be thrilled. If not, I will hopefully be able to afford to dump his salary after this season.
He showed flashes of brilliance last year. He led my team in complete games, but he was just too erratic. I would have liked to have kept him to see if he could work it out, but the back of my rotation is packed, and I have a guy comming of the DL in a couple of weeks and I had to make room.
I believe Mendes (whom I got from Jeremy the other day) had a bunch of CG as well. Between those two, my bullpen will be well-rested.
